Broker Pre-License |
We offer the Broker Pre-License course only in a home study format. You receive your textbook and course materials as well as an open-book exam. After reading and reviewing the materials, you must complete both sections of the open-book exam with a score of at least 90% each. Once you complete your open-book exam, fax or mail your answer sheets to us for verification of your score. If your score is less than 90%, we will tell you which questions you missed and you will re-do just those questions. Once you have achieved a score of at least 90%, your education certificate is issued. Your education certificate is valid for 12 months. (You must pass the State Exam within 12 months of the date on your education certificate.) Along with your certificate you will also receive a booklet giving you the information you need about Pearson VUE Testing Centers and how to schedule the State Exam. |

KBI/FBI Criminal Background CheckA KBI/FBI criminal background check is also required as part of the licensure process. We will furnish you with the fingerprint kit; you may request a kit from the Kansas Real Estate Commission (KREC); or you may pick one up at the Pearson VUE Testing Center. Your criminal background check will be valid for 6 months.
