If you feel a REALTOR® has done something unethical, before filing a complaint, contact the broker you have a complaint against. It may be possible to resolve your issue without going through the Professional Standards process, and if not, you only stand to gain more information related to your issue. You may view/download the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice to cite the article(s) you feel may have been violated.
Once you have identified the article(s), you must fill out an Ethics Complaint Form (E-1) and cite the article(s) you feel has/have been violated. Send your form, along with a cover letter and any other valuable documentation you may possess to the appropriate Board of REALTORS® for processing. To review the process, click here to view the document "Before You File An Ethics Complaint," which explains the process from beginning to end.
